FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 brought the print world to Berlin—and with it, a clear message: the future of print is personal, powered by software, and shaped by people bold enough to lead change.
Co-exhibiting alongside MH+P Technology, the GelatoConnect team met hundreds of print professionals facing shorter runs, rising costs, and higher customer expectations. These shifts aren’t just operational—they’re strategic. That’s why storytelling, brand building, and leadership took center stage throughout the event.
And yes—we served real gelato at the booth, which made it even easier to start conversations and share what we’re building.
In her panel, Branding & Marketing in the Print World, Gelato CMO Minna Philipson joined Georgette Sawan of MH+P Technology to discuss how personalisation is redefining print. As Minna put it:
“Personalisation is no longer a nice-to-have—it’s the baseline for connection.”
Drawing from her FESPA blog, she emphasized that successful PSPs today align production strategy with brand storytelling. In a crowded market, emotional relevance matters as much as operational excellence.
The event also marked the debut of Girls Who Print Europe. At the “Lunch and Lead” gathering, industry leaders—including Deborah Corn and Kelly Mallozzi—spotlighted inclusion and innovation. With half of our C-level team made up of women, this initiative aligns closely with Gelato’s values and vision for a more inclusive print industry.
FESPA attendees were especially curious about how GelatoConnect supports apparel workflows—and for good reason. As more producers shift toward on-demand, personalized fashion and merchandise, the need for flexible, scalable production tools has never been greater.
GelatoConnect will launch self-service Direct-to-Garment (DTG) integration for Brother, Kornit, and Aeoon machines—enabling PSPs to configure equipment, validate settings, and go live in hours, without engineering support. This update is part of our roadmap and reflects growing demand for simpler onboarding in apparel.
We're also rolling out an enhanced Direct-to-Film (DTF) workflow, designed specifically for apparel use cases. The workflow guides operators through every step of the DTF process—from matching blanks with transfer films to dispatch, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
